The Institut français Paris launches every year open calls, usually in September-October,
offering funding opportunities for cultural projects involving French artists or compagnies.
Relance Export
Relance Export aims to support French artists or artists living in France (mainland or overseas communities) from the cultural and creative fields, who have the opportunity to continue or develop these activities identically, or with a new approach. The Institut français supports live, hybrid or fully digital projects (for the French artistic teams facing difficulties regarding international mobility), as well as projects embedding digital tools in the creative or production process. This program is open to international institutions or cultural organizations. Application period: September-October.
FOCUS
The Institut français develops programs specifically designed to offer foreign professionals a better understanding of the French arts scene. The “Focus” programs enable directors, curators, art critics, producers, and art managers to attend the most iconic events in their respective fields and meet French professionals in order to promote international exchange and cooperation. “Focus” programs are organized each year, in different disciplines: visual arts, dance, theater, design, music, etc.

The Cultural Service of the Embassy of France in Korea accompanies major artistic and cultural projects which participate in building bridges between French and Korean cultures. If you wish to submit a project – at least one year in advance – please fill in this form.

Open Call for the Cité internationale des arts x Institut français Programme
The residency programme at the Cité internationale des arts is aimed at artists, residing exclusively outside of France, who wish to undertake a research and creation project in Paris, for a period of three or six months. Candidates must necessarily be supported by one or more cultural partners. For Korea, the Cultural Service of the Embassy of France in is charge of collecting the pre-applications. An Open Call is published once a year each year in Octobre-November. Candidates must send to the Cultural Service by email 5 documents (PDF files, renamed, no more that 10 MB): Application Form, Sworn Statement, Artistic Portfolio, Residency Project, and Curriculum Vitae. Documents must be in French or English.

The French Dance Films Catalogue features video artworks, films and documentaries by artists, choreographers and dancers. SACD Authorization for French Theater Plays
Any representation of a work (theater play), whether for free or with ticketing, requires prior authorization from the author or his successors in title, through the intermediary of the SACD. Your company must request it. It is advisable to ask for permission as soon as the project is confirmed, even before starting rehearsals. The authorization request must be sent no later than 1 month before the start of the performances.

Since 2017, the Institut français and the French cultural network abroad organize Novembre Numérique (Digital November), the international digital cultures festival around the world. Novembre Numérique (Digital November) is an invitation to question the place of digital cultures in our societies, to increase the awareness of the general public to the new uses of digital technologies, while discovering the richness and diversity of digital creations, ranging from virtual reality to video games, from media art to new forms of digital narratives, from immersive theater to interactive music, from educational technologies to entrepreneurship, etc.
